Philmont Ranch Backpacking

Troop 803 is going back to Philmont Scout Ranch in July 2027 for a 12-day wilderness backpacking trek in the Rocky Mountains.  Eligible scouts must be at least 13 years old and done with 8th Grade.

WEBELOS Open House

All interested WEBELOS and their parents are invited to attend our Troop Open House meeting on November 18 in the MPR at Los Cerros Middle School from 7:00 to 8:15.  There will be fun things to do and see and parents will learn a lot about what to expect from Scouting. WEBELOS attending this meeting should come dressed in their Cub Scout uniforms.

Eagle BoR Process

Changes have been made to the process of requesting and participating in Project Proposal and Rank Advancement review boards. Attached are two documents. The Signature Options doc is unchanged from the original but the Virtual Eagle Review Board Instructions have been updated.

Florida Sea Base

Troop 803 is going back to Florida Sea Base for a Scuba Diving Adventure.   We will depart from California on June 13, 2026 and return on June 21.  Eligible Scouts must be certified divers and be at least 13 years old by our date of arrival.

FAQ for Advancement

What is the advancement process for rank advancement?

In order to advance to the next rank in Scouts you need to complete all the requirements in the scout book and have a scoutmaster conference and a board of review. When you have completed all of these your advancement will be presented to you at the next court of honor.
